Derby winning blood among PROTECTIONIST BBAG Yearling Sale offers

While PROTECTIONIST'S first crop is expected to hit the tracks in the next few months, yearlings from his second crop are soon to enter the rings of European auction sales. Hence, we are delighted to see a list of extremely interesting yearlings from highly successful dam lines in the catalogue for the BBAG Yearling Auction Sale on September 4th, 2020 at Iffezheim, Germany.

The most prominent prospect among the eight yearlings is no doubt Lot 159 offered by Gestüt Röttgen. The bay colt named WELL PREPARED carries Derby winning blood, as he is out of Röttgen's proven WELL AMERICAN who belongs to the top dam line of Well Proved that produced several Champion2YO fillies as well as the two consecutive German Derby winners WINDSTOOS and WELTSTAR.

Derby winning blood can also be found in the pedigree of Lot 39 LESTER. The colt proves intriguing as his dam LANDORA (FR) is a half-sister to Gestüt Ittlingen's top dam SKY DANCING, who counts multiple champion SCALO, sire of the 2019 German Derby winner LACCARIO, amongst her stellar list of progeny.

Among the rest you find such interesting products as the filly offered as Lot 73, who is a half-sister to G3 winner SWEET THOMAS out of the 2008 Champion2YO SWORN PRO from Gestüt Wittekindshof's extremely successful dam line of SALDENTIGERIN. Lot 45 is the second product of Listed winner PEACE SOCIETY, who is from the successful dam line of G3 winner Peace Royale. Another top dam line can be found in the pedigree of Lot 137. The filly is out of the highly successful dam line of G1 Gran Criterium di Milano winner NOBLE PEARL.

Lot 126, a colt out of a half-sister to G3 winner LINDENTHALER, and Lot 164, a filly whose full brother from PROTECTIONIST's first crop is in training with Joseph O'Brien in Ireland, and EUPHORIE (Lot 185) out of Gestüt Röttgen's proven dam line around G2 winner ENRICA complete the list of interesting PROTECTIONIST yearlings that bears the potential for a future star, who could easily race in your colours!
