PROTECTIONIST's first group winner and Derby co-favorite LAMBO has new co-owners: Australian Bloodstock is now looking forward to being on board for the convincing Bavarian Classic's winner next start on Monday. Twenty opponents have been entered for the G2 Prix Hocquart at Paris-Longchamp, and according to Ronald Rauscher, who handled the purchase, LAMBO has had really good workouts.
''Lambo stays with Mirek Rulec,'' says Ronald Rauscher, ''that is perfect. He developed the horse, had a high opinion early on and did a really good job. It is also the right decision for Protectionist to have the horse stay in Germany and France.''
